Rev capabilities per its public pricing and product pages. Rev is a transcription and captioning service; it does not market evidence review features.

A transcript is not a review

If all you need is words on a page, Rev is a fine place to get them, and its human-verified option is as accurate as transcription gets. But it hands you back the same four hours of footage you started with, now with a transcript beside it. You still have to watch the silent stretches, read the report, and find the conflicts yourself.

Brady does that work. It transcribes the audio, watches the frames where nobody is talking, reads the report and affidavits, and flags where they disagree with the camera, each finding tied to the second and the page. You verify with one click and draft the cross from the verified record.

On cost, Brady is a fraction of Rev’s human rate: about $2.38 an hour against $119.40. Rev’s AI plan is cheaper per hour than Brady for raw transcription, so if a transcript is genuinely all you want, say so and buy that. If you want the file reviewed, the comparison is not close.

When Rev is the better fit

You need a certified, human-verified transcript of a short recording for filing or for a court that requires one.

You transcribe depositions, interviews, or meetings outside criminal defense and do not need the video watched.

When Brady is the better fit

Your discovery is body cam, dash cam, 911 audio, jail calls, and reports, and you need all of it reviewed, not just typed.

The case turns on what the officer did, not only what was said: a search, a consent exchange, a bag leaving the frame, a plate on screen.

You want chain of custody on every file and an evidence vault that never trains anyone’s AI.
