Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Brady (“we,” “us”), available at bradyai.app, collects and handles information. The short version: video evidence lives in an encrypted vault reserved for your account, and we collect only what the service needs to operate.

1. The evidence model: the encrypted vault

Brady stores your most sensitive material in a dedicated evidence vault:

• Video files upload over encrypted connections into private cloud storage reserved for your account (the “evidence vault”). Vault files are encrypted at rest, are never exposed through public links, and are readable only through short-lived signed URLs issued to your signed-in session. Your browser may keep a local copy of recently used files for instant playback; the vault is the system of record.
• Documents you attach to a case (such as charging instruments) are stored in your evidence vault along with their extracted text and an AI-generated summary, under the same encryption, access, and deletion rules as your footage.
• When you run an AI analysis, downscaled still frames and compressed audio are derived from your footage (in your browser, or on our servers reading directly from your vault) and sent to our AI providers over encrypted connections solely to generate your results. They are not retained after your results are written.

2. Information we collect

• Account information. Your name and email address, managed by our authentication provider, Clerk. We never see or store your password.
• Case information you enter. Case names, defendant names, key people, key terms, case descriptions, and text extracted from documents you attach.
• Analysis results. AI-generated events, summaries, issues, and transcripts for videos you process, plus video filenames, sizes, and durations (durations are used to meter your monthly processing allowance).
• Billing information. Payments are processed by Stripe. Card numbers are entered on Stripe’s systems and never touch our servers; we store only your subscription status and plan.
• Basic technical data. Standard web logs and analytics from our hosting provider (Vercel), such as IP address and pages visited, used for security and site operation.

3. How we use information

We use the information above to provide the service, run the AI analyses you request, meter usage, process billing, respond to support requests, and secure the platform. We do not sell your information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use your case content for any purpose other than delivering your results.

4. No training on your data

Content you submit for analysis (frames, audio, case context, document text) is used solely to generate your results. Our AI providers process it under agreements that prohibit using customer content to train their models.

5. Service providers

We rely on a small set of providers to run Brady, each receiving only what its function requires: Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting and processing), Neon (database), Cloudflare (evidence vault storage), Anthropic (AI visual analysis and document transcription), and Deepgram (speech transcription). If you use a cloud import feature such as Dropbox, that provider transfers the file you choose directly to your browser under its own terms.

6. Storage, retention, and deletion

Case information and analysis results are stored in our database, and video files in your evidence vault, with access limited to your account (or your firm workspace for cases you explicitly share). The Solo plan includes 200 GB of vault storage. Deleting a video or a case permanently removes the vault files along with the stored analyses, transcripts, documents, and metadata. 7. Security

All traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS), and vault files are encrypted at rest. Authentication, including multi-factor authentication, is handled by Clerk. Database and vault access are scoped per account, and vault files are reachable only through short-lived signed URLs. No security measure is perfect; keep your original discovery files in your own evidence storage as a matter of practice.

8. Professional confidentiality

Brady is designed for lawyers and their staff. The vault model, with per-account isolation, no training on client content, and delete-means-gone retention, exists to support counsel’s duties of confidentiality and control over client material. You remain responsible for your own professional obligations, including whether use of the service is appropriate for a given matter.

9. Children

The service is intended for legal professionals and is not directed to anyone under 18.
